    Good info.

I note there was recent promo for a diesel "commodore"?
    Well, that sums everything up.

They'll have trouble getting their main client base in the back seat of the lift back because of the low roof line.

I don't understand why they keep buying cars when SUV's are far more practical.

Given the typical speed on Auckland's motorway systems during most of the day, I'd think horses might do just fine...no need for fast cars. They crawl along like everyone else.

The safety rating doesn't meet criteria most of the time.

When I was in Singapore ... the (two door) VW Beetle was a common sight ... with usually four officers aboard.

Up in Malaysia ... Alfa Romeos in and near the cities ... with Land Rovers everywhere else.

Both were armed and quite prepared to (and DID) shoot if threatened [not necessarily provoked as such].

We've got a heap of Camry's down here. A few Landcruisers and a couple of Ford Rangers alongside a fleet of slowly retired Falcodores.. And then a mountain of different un-marked cars

This is true & the reason the popo didn't go with the cheaper (overall) BMW's was cause "public perception", they were worried about ignorant backlash of "wasting too much on cars"

That's quite a lot for the population base. I guess Dunkin' Donuts do a roaring trade in Tassie?

What, that they are two decades behind most other manufacturers in offering a diesel sedan?

Apparently a few were sold to South Island constabulary a few years ago. They tested various subies at Pukekohe and deemed the hot ones more than required performance wise.

As for diesels, love mine. 2ltr turbo, cheap on fuel and lickety split. Euro taxi drivers love em. (It's not a Holden...)

Yep seen a couple of the Legacy cop cars down south. Or it might've been the same one twice.
