ah yeah, up to 195 riders and 330 class entries now.
Had to close entries as most race groups packed to limit, still room for vintage and pre 63 classics if anyone has one.

Now we just need to work out how to fit everyone in the pits and pray to the weather gods

    Only 6 sleeps to go

    cheers

been thinking about a family trip for this, my 3 year old loves bikes, she fizzes everytime she sees mine. Love to see her wee face at an event like this

Is anyone traveling down from the big smoke able to bring an engine block (car engine but not too big) back north for me?
Will pay in beer/bourbon/rum for your troubles. Block will be at the race meeting so you don't have to go out of your way to get it and I can pick it from you if you're not coming through Otorohanga on the way back.

    Cheers in advance.

well the southern classic is over but will be remembered for a long time!
mostly good weather , good people , great memories , and brilliant racing.
spyda and the legends were in great form on Saturday night with everyone being very approachable.
prize giving was a hoot with spyda giving people heaps...…. thanks to the flaggies and all the people who worked
their asses off to make this event happen.

I've commentated this event since it's inception and it's truly outstanding.
What made it better this year is a constant stream of legends into the tower for a chat. Most people don't know what to say to their heros, or at best are limited yet it has cost to get them there. This way we got to have an informal chat, Phil Dark doing way more than me, and I think there was better value for money too.
I appreciate the club asking me back, and again ask what sort of 'style' they want the prizegiving in, a laugh keeps attention quite simply, otherwise people sit there and gabble away.
i'll be back next year for sure.

Big weekend, outstanding people and racing, weather held enough for no real issues. I've done many big classic meetings over the years and for me this rates right up there, especially for the social side.

I'll be back (and only not been previously due to clashes

Big Thanks to Dave R and all the CAMS team, the NI crew that made it down, flaggies, Sponsors all the other racers. Top stuff!

It was a great weekend., few tweeks for next year but we'll be back.

So many people contributed, an older dude who didn't know me from a bar of soap described it as a bike rally that you race bikes at ....pretty close I reckon.

Rob, you worked as hard any anyone mate, thanks although I do blame you for my hangover and slow lap times Friday

Spyda, love having you there, your just part of the flavour that makes a great event.

Al , loved having all you NI boys down, even if you did take the North Vs South trophy back ... again .
Pic for you below, will put rest up on FB in next few days

    cheers
    Dave
