Sure has. They're going out to the airport track, once it's all sorted.

    So it finally happened. Bummer.
The kart club has been talking about building a new track since forever. I s'pose they'll have to now...

    Nice looking facility.
If they let Buckets use it pretty sure you can kiss goodbye $25 per day entry fees.

Just read this. Great shame, hope new track is sorted out securely and favorably. The old track was a bit of a goat track but better to have a stable venue with what you can get.

Me thinks a little too late.
The closure of Mt Welli has been on the cards since the mid 90's when we showed up to a parking lot full of containers.
Good on you for trying but good luck trying to convince the council to change their mind.

Oh. I'd somewhat assumed new digs had been arranged. This is a fuking disaster!

Best of luck. Frigging pen pushers with no life just want us all to be in little boxes.

Or containers in this case I guess..

Nowhere to race in Auckland? A similar thing happened in chch a couple of decades ago when the locals pulled the resourse consent card and the tracks consent is for carts only. There is a life for small bikes on big tracks you will need to invest in some sprockets.

That aside good on the team up there fighting the fight.

Its harder to lose weight than gain horsepower.
