3 wheels means more stability around corners with bumps for example. Better on rough roads and rough conditions, iv been riding 50cc's for years so i mean im not new to riding on 2 wheels, yeah any way as i said i know nothing about engines etc and just wanted to see how easy it was to get lil extra speed so i didn't have to upgrade bike, i see some people are a bit offended by scooters, or my bad spelling, who knows. Thanks to those who have helped me and answered my questions.
Well there are alot of pros aswell as some cons, you could go around a corner a bumpy road corner with alot of stability and confidence etc, btw the tricity yamaha does not hold you up like you think, you still have to use ur legs to keep ur self up when at a stop or extremely low speed, but u can go alot slower then on two wheels with out having to put ur foot down.
Like for e.g you could go up the side of a gutter almost side ways because that 3rd wheel is still there to support.
Yeah mate, cheers, its fine for now any way as i don't need to go on the highway for my traveling. But yeah seeing those guys with those custom exhausts and stuff made me think it was perhaps common for people to change things that are stock in bikes or some thing, i duno any way, i wish you all a lovely day. Thanks
You can change weights in varator. Google that. It changes when cv transmission changes up. Apprently my honda 250 scooter. Honda had changing up early to improve fuel economy. And u can get better acceleration. By just taking out two of the weights. Or using dr pulley rollers. Theres people on you tube. Go to extremes. Yes going to 250 be way to go.i rode mine 1000km on open road sits on 100 kph all day.

Wait what!?
Ehh I don't buy that. I mean they probably are, but if you're so nervous of a rider that you feel you need to buy something with 3 wheels in order to feel safe going around a corner, you probably shouldn't be riding a scooter or motorbike to begin with. I'm not offended by scooters, my advice is solid advice. If you are serious about being on a bike, you should consider buying something bigger if you're worried about speed. You're going to become a better rider on a 2 wheeled motorbike and you are going to be far far safer on the motorway. 250's are a learner size bike for a reason and they're still very efficient on fuel.3 wheels means more stability around corners with bumps for example. Or you know, cut your engine apart and add a whole lot of expensive modifications. It's not like you're someone who doesn't know a thing about engines right?
If you're up the gutter you're doing it wrong.Like for e.g you could go up the side of a gutter almost side ways because that 3rd wheel is still there to support.
Not a good idea. Change all the rollers, or three at a time. Using lighter rollers will give faster acceleration, as long as the motor doesn't start getting to the rev limit, but in extremes you will lose top end as the rollers aren't heavy enough to overcome the spring.
Trade it in for a Tricity 155 if you want more speed with factory reliability and economy. Btw, it's not the same engine as the Zuma/Cygnus, it's liquid cooled, 4v, vvt, fi.
Fair enough, but in mitigation may I point out that this thread might perhaps have fared better in the scooter specific forum. Or not.
Notwithstanding that asking riders who have never owned a scooter questions about scooters can be a bit fraught, there is some good advice in the responses. I agree with those who said words to the effect, 'if you want to go faster get a bigger scooter'.
That's what I was told when I started out and it's still good advice.
