Rocking horse poo. I know of one CL450 in Temuka which I'm pretty sure came off ebay. Never seen a CL350 locally - but I did own an SL350 which was sold here in very small numbers.

    Wow - $7k looked like a good-um though.

Back in the day I had a CB200 - I was after the CL due to the cool high pipes but found a mint 200 I could not pass.

I had the horn for the CB360, never acquired one as I swapped to several Kawasakis.

So HDC is the CB750 project almost done then?

I thought I kept a pretty close eye on classic and vintage bikes on tardme and that one just slipped thru. I would have happily paid that for that too.

That chopper makes me smile - period correct to a tee and just like the ones I used to ogle over in the magazines as a young chap.

The front end must flex like crazy - and it looks like despite the tube lengths there is also a adapter extending them right at the top clamp.

not between my garage and the street no.... but its running, sounds good. Prospective ride curtailed when I realised I hadnt wet myself but fuel was dribbling down my leg. Fuel line cut about 25mm too short... not by me. Also, it has no revcounter, and the clutch needs adjusting. Oh and I have to replace both throttle cables (I hadnt taken the block apart and when I got the housing off the bloody closing cable is frayed to fuck.) Meh, part of the "fun" of old bikes, right? The time suck is doing stuff like realising EVERY JIS screwhead on the bike is fucked, and replacing them with cap screws. but you dont have the right length so you end up making threads longer and capscrews shorter.

To be honest I had a very happy afternoon and quite productive. Soundtrack was David Bowie "Cracked Actor" (live in LA 1974 - get it, its great) then Beastie Boys (Licenced to Ill and Pauls Boutique) then Judas Priest (British Steel) the Jason Isbell "The Nashville Sound" then part of Brian Eno "Taking Tiger Mountain".

It was great. All my neighbours love Judas Priest too, it seems.

DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.

I like that honestly but the put off is the repower.

I tried to get a friend of mine who is a lesbian to buy it. Rainbow! Unicorn!

    Not keen.

Maybe it would be cheaper for you to get a Hornet or Spitfire BSA, more of them about in NZ but far less world wide.

What's the problem with the repower ? I can't see the ad but I'm assuming it's a later 500. Bonus IMO.
When I was trying to put two CB450 race engines together we stripped five cranks to find two with reusable mainshafts.
They go through the hardening on the shafts where the roller mains run on them.
Then it was Carillos and more money....
