Looking for replacement shock for popup Katana

    Hi guys,

I'm after a shock to replace the rooted one in my popup Katana.

I need a shock that has eye bolts each end, with 8mm bolt holes. 20mm wide at top, 25mm at bottom (not too important as I can shim, these are max dimensions), 325mm-330mm eye to eye measurement, and has a travel in the 60-65mm range.

I've found on the net that a shock from the 888 frame Ducati Monsters (600, 750, 900) will drop in with a bit of grinding at the top for clearance and some shims at the bottom mount.

What else is out there? I have a budget up to $300.
And I to my motorcycle parked like the soul of the junkyard. Restored, a bicycle fleshed with power, and tore off. Up Highway 106 continually drunk on the wind in my mouth. Wringing the handlebar for speed, wild to be wreckage forever.

This dude seems to be able to get into many shocks and rebuild them. Even sealed ones.

    Could be worth the ask?

Cheers. Had forgotten about Bryce. He gave me a price to rebuild my original shock a while back, but it wasn't cheap, and the main shaft is rusted in this one anyway so I'd discarded that thought. I've txted him again to see if he can help me find something.
