Wonderwall sure had a huge impact on release. I watched a doco on Oasis recently so I guess they are more prominent in my head than they would be normally.

And yeah, they appealed to a lot of awful people.

Variety is the spice of life which is what makes music so fascinating. Stumbling across something decades old, but new to me, is still a buzz. Same with new but yet to be famous bands.

I really hope I can get to Glastonbury again before I move into a rest home.

My old time favs are still The Undertones.

90's was more the time of the boy/girl bands - Spice Girls, N*Sync, Backstreet Boyz, 5ive etc etc
Fuck no, the 90's was all about industrial metal and rock and roll (aka "grunge") (and country) for me. White Zombie/Rob Zombie/NIN/Soundgarden/Nirvana/Whiskeytown/Uncle Tupelo/Lucinda etc etc.

Oh yeah, 90's was all about the rise of EDM and raves and those happy faces and shit.

In terrible fucking news today, Pete Shelley of the Buzzcocks has died

terrible news indeed (regarding pete shelley) im still a buzzcocks fan

with regards to 90s music, i mostly detested it mainly because it was a queer mish mash, your favourite heavy metal band starts to struggle with sales, so next thing you know the singer is sitting shirtless on a stool crooning out a teenage ballad on an acoustic pfft!
then that grunge shit..i tried to get into it, sounded like some heavy riffs etc but i couldnt cope with the melonchly bit
..funnily enough i like new wave and new romatics wanks from the late 70s early 80's and they were fucken whingers

for the remainder of the 90's i reverted to oi! music. fucket.

The Jack Black and Jimmy Fallon version is funny as are some of the other Jimmy Fallon ones, like Neil Young.

    Motorhead crack me up.

Every song is just the same.

It's like they never developed at all. Ever.
