"Dangerous Driving" on Remutaka Hill Rd

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

"Give me my phone, now". Obviously not hands free, so that should be a ticket. I doubt he was paying much attention to his mirrors either.

All said and done ... I've seen far more dangerous maneuvers (by cars) at/near the end of most passing lanes. Most of that vid WAS in a passing lane.

    Jealous ... maybe ...

It was a regular ride for me on a '79 GS1000 and a Benelli 650 twin in the early 80's ... before they added a few more passing bays. The coffee at the summit cafe wasn't that great though. The views of what was passing and stopping there was quite good at times.

Each week we moan about motorcycle deaths. And each week we keep taking risks.

    I really dislike go-pros.

Bike sounded good though ...... just saying. Should get some demerit points reduced for sounding good.

Here's a thing. Be me (you wish!) out for a pootle on the 2009 Triumph Street Triple R last Sunday. traffic heavy on the way to Little River.. Traffic HORRENDOUS. And apparently the appropriate speed on the Motukarara straight is 75kph. I pulled out to pass and some fucker decided to BOIL me. Brake operated Indicator Light. I didnt hit him (and thankfully the speed differential wasnt that great) but if the cunt had taken me out it would have been an "unfortunate motorcycle accident".

I actually binned it at that point and came home over Gebbies past the Black Tulip. Thats 3.50 of tourist dollars that Akaroa didnt get last sunday!

Yeah, the first overtake was a bit tight. Given the cars weren't going fast, there's really no excuse.

Cassina would have crashed ........ and it would have been a no fault accident.

Clearly you need to buy a rowdy pipe for the Speedy. Or use the incident as a excuse for a rowdy pipe. Or anything motorcycle related really.
