i forgot about the eggs never knew the dairy not surprised though thy use a lot of WPC for stuff they used to use eggs for ie pumping hams to make em stick together and be shiny etc.
To think they used to feed the Whey to pigs now they are using it direct in the hams.
They was a guy i read something on about some dude making the vegan wine about 10 years ago in Martinborough or suchlike I cant remember what he used. i just rememeber being surprised about the whole vegan thing with wine.

I wish all people like this (yes, that includes vegans) just gathered up and be sent to the Sun in a giant rocket ship

If you can make it on Kiwibiker you can make it anywhere.

Im morally opposed to the consumtion of plants. At least animals have some possibility of escape and even a chance for revenge
Ever heard of a broccoli attaking a farmer and making a break for feeedom?
Fruit and veg are also eaten alive more often than our meatier victims.
Im also opposed to the practice of given flowers to those we care about.
Flowers are a plants sexual organs - so what message are we really sending here?
Is it indicating a desire for sex? Or does it say - "ok biarch, i admit it - you've got ne by the balls"
This Valentines day - show her you care by giving a dozen pigs penises

Isn't it odd that the politician's only "solution" to any problem, is to tax something?

Surely global warming is fixed by now, since all those carbon credits must have raised billions...

I work in a wine shop. We have quite a few vegan friendly wines and several organic as well. The demand is not that high although we need to carry stock to meet what demand there is.

The origin of cash is very important to vegan Hindu's that don't pay tax on it.

That old thing about not eating anything your grandma wouldn't recognise is pretty much outdated. Supermarkets didn't exist then so she'd have gone to a butcher, a grocer and maybe a green grocer.

There are large tracts of the supermarket aisles she wouldn't recognise. Kiwis back then didn't eat yoghurt. Salami was something eaten in Italy. Instant mashed potato? WTF she'd make of a whole aisle of bottled water I have no idea. Then there's all the wines. The "new" veg like rocket, kale and fennel. Tacos? Pizza?

The poor old biddy would be completely flummoxed.

Kale is pretty old. It used to be a poor people food before its wanky resurgence.

I must admit I'd be OK with a return to packaging materials of her generation.

Yes it's be more expensive, and there'd be more food-born pathogens.

Luckily she could tell us how to deal with that, and it's a small price to pay for killing the exploding use of plastic.

We'd never heard of broccoli in the 50's either.

swede is absolutely delicious, but only after it has had all the good stuff filtered out and turned in t red meat, other than that it is a tasteless mouth of water
