Where to find bolt spacers in Auckland

    Hi all

I’m installing saddle bags and I need bolt spacers to ensure the bag remains clear of my break caliper.

Mitre 10 don’t have ‘em. Anyone know where I might buy these? I’ve tried using a slightly larger nut, but it’s not the length I need.

    Cheers

you need some lengths of tubing , or use more than one nut , or use two nuts locked against each other in the position you need

I normally use stainless tubing cut to length with a tube cutter.

make friends with somebody that owns a lathe, i find mine invaluable. you can also make spacers from alloy plate and hole saws.
