NZSBK Cranks bank into life on 1/2/3 March at HD with "Motofest"

    https://www.hamptondowns.com/event/mike-pero-motofest/

What proved to be probably the largest attendance at a non road circuit event in years for the 2018 event is all set to get under way later next week.

Similar theme as last year, but no ride day section to the programme, some new and some existing legends and a tweak to the Sat night dinner. Free to attend, but pay for food/booze as required.

Good that they dropped the ride day thing. Though, they got through the whole programme last year somehow.

Andrew Stroud commented on Facebook today that he has been asked to do some laps on the Foggy PETRONAS Superbike that has been sent down for the UK for the event.

my question is why send them all out in a bunch, i'd like to hear each and every bike on its own, plus it fills the track, i get the photo opportunity but they can do that once and let us enjoy the sounds, you won't hear me do more than an introduction when the special bikes are out there for this reason
    just an observation

And true...In the past I've been disappointed with some of the exotica being lost in the traffic.

Drew - some of those old cunts are younger than me - and can still ride better than you....

I suspect it's a case of "agree and put up with it - or no Auckland round"....

Are they awarding full points ? Nice can of worms waiting to be opened.

4km circuit....and only some races. Some were 8 then The TTs were 10-20laps. For the 300s that was still damp near a 20min race and a little longer than the GP at Ruapuna.
