Saw a brief video interview with an American journo who had just returned from several weeks in Venezuela. He said that Venezuela's huge oil reserves are currently in state ownership. The new man, supported as President by the US and others as president, is to privatise the state oil company and sell it off to the usual corporate interests.
He warned that a lot of what we are reading is just not true. That's OK, I had assumed that, so far it's all smoke and mirrors.
It would be nice to know what's really happening though.
