    Mint original GSX 250

This is a genuine barn find bike, I picked it up a few months ago from the previous owner who had parked it in his garage in 1989 and forgotten about it. My plan was to build a Cafe racer, bobber or brat, but it was so original and unmolested I knew I'd never forgive myself.

So I took it home, put some gas in, and it fired first pop. Since then it's had the carbs stripped and cleaned, master and slave cylinders stripped and cleaned, new brake lines, a full service, new tyres, new battery, tank cleaned (all by a qualified mechanic, not me). It's had no cosmetic work beyond a clean and some armorall.

It's in amazing original condition and looks like it was built a couple of years ago, not 38 years ago. It, still feels tight and smooth like a new bike to ride, starts first pop and has a surprising amount of pep for a 250, and cruises comfortably on the open road at 100kmh with plenty left.

It would be an excellent addition to any collection, but would also be a great wee commuter and I can't think of a better bike to learn on.

It comes with the original exhaust system (mufflers rotten but headers ok), a workshop manual and the Two Wheels road test from 1981. It also has the wof sticker from 1989 and the original number plate surround and dealer sticker on the front guard. It's a real time capsule.

It has 6 months rego and a new wof. If you are out of town, I can arrange transport at discounted prices through my work.

Forget the GN250, CB250, CBX250 or Z250. This is smoother, faster and I can pretty much guarantee in better condition than any other old school 250 out there and infinitely better than any plasticcy new Chinese made 250.

Don't blame me, I voted Green.
