    The Good News

Interesting stats that came from ACC recently.

Motorcycle injury claims for Canterbury are down 7% on 2010.

Now, I know this will start a range of whinges about us being over charged etc, but hey, good news is good news.

Are there less, the same or more registered riders in the district now? That will put it into better perspective.

Anecdotally, there are more. I'll look for some stats.

Any road is an autobahn if you have the right attitude!

    Side note.

They have resealed sections of the highway between Tai Tapu and Little River. And fucked it up. Taxes pay for this abortion of a reseal and I cannot fathom WTF was the plan and why Christchurch roading contractors cannot reseal a road in a satisfactory manner.

I'll really getting to the point where I am over this City and surroundings, earthquakes, fucked Council, shootings, and the loopy bastards appear to be out en mass since the shootings (maybe I am subconsciously more aware of them since?).

That is good news, could it be due to more rider training?

After doing those Rideforever courses myself, they had an option to get updates on statistics, outcomes or whatever, have yet to hear anything.

I just got that stat back and my first thoughts were "What has changed to cause the 7% reduction?".

It's hard to miss the link with Ride Forever. Which was introduced about 6 or 7 years ago, I think.

I deliver R4E, so I'm obviously biased. Could it be something else? I feel as if there are more motorcyclists now, so a reduction in claims is against that trend.

Certainly bikes are nicer (whatever that means), some have ABS,
