Brittens are sexy to sit on

    Well this takes the cake.

Probably some internet Instagram whore looking to flash her bits on a pretty machine. I despise those sad people, seriously how can that shit be a job?

Also interested in thoughts on the estimated value of said bike.

People taking pics to fool people on instagram or facebook is an epidemic.
I went clothes shopping on the weekend for the first time in ages & in three of the trying on rooms were full outfits including jeans, top, shoes & sunglasses.
People getting dressed up, taking pics & telling lies about their status in life im guessing.

As much as a house according to Keving Grant.
He just failed to specify what the house was like.

I was going to post this but I went out tonight. Isn't the saddest part of the story the fact that the "Britten" isn't a motorcycle anymore. Much less a quite potent and very clever motorcycle? But now its a "sculpture" i.e. a waste of fucking public money on something that doesnt DO anything any more. Christ it may as well not have any engine parts or a transmission.... and have someone take a casting and get Weta to make a mould of the engine to bolt the fairing to.

I am going to email the Te Pooper people tomorrow and ask them some questions about that bike. Because it is fucking shameful.

It isn't a motorbike unless it runs. And it should be run.

edit: that bitch is old enough to know better, and not milfy enough to get away with it.

i'd disagree, at least here it can be shared with joe public and is more valuable to the wider people than one that is only at the track being demonstrated, we are lucky to have some of those around the world and particulalry in nz at the moment.
The Britten is our most prized motorcycle as it has brought motorcycle racing to the public in a way never acheived before in NZ.
the only thing better is the organsiers of meetings where one is running should be able to advertise the fact right there in the middle of the museum.
How roadworthy is this bike anyway? legend has it is that it was built for the museum knowing that it would never run or even move, if you have a look under the seat there's a garc mark, this is the component that was on nick jefferies bike on sulby straight at the isle of man when a suspension componet gave way pushing the back wheel up until it ground this away.

Yeah, the word at the time was that it was built from what was lying around as an exhibit. Like the Cardinal Britten. When it was decided to use that as an escort for John's funeral I'm told it caused much angst - would it actually hold together for the ride into the square ? It did - just.
Couple of very relieved guys took it off Stroud and put it on a stand in front of the Cathedral. I doubt it's ever run again.

To be honest I was perfectly happy with the "going out clothes" I've been wearing for the last two years, but spousal pressure & all. Good to get that over with for a bit.

He alluded to in one conversation around a 200/250K West Auckland house ( 90's prices), so that must be where they get the 700K from. Hardly a good comparison as you can buy a Westy house any day of the week.
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.
