Yeah, shed's nice. Do they hire out bays during the race periods ? Always been hard to find good workshop space I hear.

The practise bike is a rehearsal for when you get your hands on the race one, LOl. The same list will be your start point for that.
Be interesting to hear the diffence in setup from as received Donington to IOM road settings....

Does the race bike have a big tank ? Is that legal under the SS rules ?

The workbays are for the bikes they own, i counted 30 in one room. Id guess he would let people use them & also leave the shirt off his back lying around for you to use as well.
The GSXR has around a 17 litre tank, were working on 12 per lap which means no flying laps on saturday as each lap will be a refuel.
The bike being used for the TT will have a two lap tank so i guess it must be legal.
Re the list, it wasnt stuff that needed altering for TT practice, mainly it was things that wern't up to the standard of assembly required to go for a 37 mile hoon at full noise.

I fancied having a go at the TT as a young fella but hell ,glad I didn't.
Dave Hiscock learnt the road in 3 or 4 sections I think he said ? He did great first time.
He offered me to go with him in 1981,but by then I had a Police career and 3 kids. He took Bill Biber as spanner man.

I think some people spend a life time learning the road.
I hope young Jay keeps a bit in reserve,good luck.

I am very confident in his course knowledge, having been the only person that has personally tested his work live repeatedly without failure.
I'm also confident in the bike he's riding, that still leaves room for what I call "the third thing" unexpected involvement in the misfortune of another party, wether that be a bike ahead rodding itself & covering the course in oil, or wildlife entering the course Etc.
Theses are the things we have no control of.
I'll post an update once we get home from Jurby tonight.

We completed 15 laps, 33 miles at Jurby tonight, the conditions were great.
The bike needs numbers & new tyres & it's ready to go.

The motor home belongs to old mate Kev that owns the bike, it's around one third garage in the back, built on a V8 International chassis. Has double pop out's at the front, so it's like an apartment inside.

Bumped into Darren Gilpin from Team Honda going the other way in the paddock.
$12,000 worth of brand new genuine Honda long range superbike tank in hand.
Zoom in & you will see the welds along the top edge.

It's nice but shit the price....Picking up my bucket tank on Tuesday. I'll post pics of the NZ$120 worth of welding.
Without seeing it, I'm pretty sure it'll match that one for quality.

I'm sure there are people around the IOM paddock who haven't paid that much for big tanks.
