    Operating Tempreture

Hi guys and gals, I have a 93 Kawaski ZZR 400 currently experiencing Tempreture problems, sitting still, it will warm up and fan will come on (takes ages though) but as soon as I get air flow going through the radiator it cools down dramatically and temp gauge sits just above C. Is this normal for this model bike? Or is my thermostat poked?. Cheers.

Sounds like your thermostat is stuck open. This can sometimes be scale or rust on the central pin. Worth looking and scraping it clean - then test in the usual way.

For the price of a thermostat just replace it? Test in a pot on the stove or an old jug with a thermostat to see what temp it opens at, if it doesn't open there's ya problem !
