Midland BT Next help please

I've just bought a used helmet (Shoei Neotec) that came with Midland BT Next comms fitted.

My iPhone won't pair to the Midland, so I thought I'd update the Midland firmware. But needs a special Windows app that I can't seem to find anywhere.

A couple of questions :

Is the Midland BT Next any good or should I just bin it and enjoy the helmet ?
Has anyone here managed to pair an iPhone to a Midland Next ?
Does anyone have the special Windows app needed to update firmware ?

And some more googling and I found latest Windows & Mac updater apps and firmware here :

But you should also get hold of BTUpdater v2.1.0 which is old, but let's you configure the BT Next unit.
Lots of setting such as FM radio presets, Bluetooth name, Vox sensitivity etc

Updated the firmware, now it pairs to my iPhone ok and plays music.

Time for a ride ....
