anyone played with the stacks in the airbox? Just been given a few tips for my bike, just wondered if/how many people have even bothered/experimented..?

sick fuck. stay on track with this one..
I've been given the 'ideal' that works for 03/04 636s 'apparently', just wanted to see if anyone had looked at that part of tuning
actually, shorter.. the stock trumpets are 30 outter, 50 inner. Some dude figure out that cutting down the inner ones to 35 didn't effect low to mid, but gained more from 10g's up.. I don't spend too much time up there, but when I do, it's fun.. for no sacrifice for the regular use, some more up top would be fun..
I've got a hacksaw dummy.. and a ruler..
I played with some trumpets on the FZR400 years back. We had 2 sets - the ones that worked well on the dyno (a couple of hp difference) bogged and didn't work so well on the track. A difference between the dyno room and reality. Unfortuately I lost all the info and charts when I moved house. None of whcih tells you what you want to know...

Build your own dyno - PM me for the link of if you want to use it (bring beer)
Kaeasaki had no idea what they were doing when they designed that bike.... By all means attack it with a hacksaw as there is no way you could make it worse![]()
So what are these 'trumpets' and 'stacks'? Sounds pretty interesting
been looking at getting some "velocity stacks" for the R1, not too sure exactly how they work yet myself, but there is heaps on info on R1-forum.com about them, and all the reviews sound postive.
