good luck attaching those criteria to your wants.

the only one i would collect is the SDR which is getting rare to find in Japan and is a classic oddity. You could import a OK tidy one for about $7000 now which was what they were selling out of containers in NZ 25 years ago. A very tidy one will be $11000+. And the last one in NZ (5 years back?) was a white yellow restomod? which doesnt meet your conditions

use desktop version of page to see nice photos.

Realistic collectibilty and obtainability in NZ I would look for a NC23 (CBR400) or NC30 (VFR400). What about GK76 (GSX-R400R) if you were going to trouble of importing a rare thing in nice condition. The Katana 250/400?

The CBR250 will have very high km if sourced in NZ and unlikely condition - bound to have chinese fairings.
I dont think the fireblade colour scheme is a good one. The NC23 came out 4 years before the NC29 and CBR900, but looks light years better, it was so ground breaking leap ahead of 1987 models and earlier bikes with non-extruded frames.
