KLX230 next big dual sport for cheap

    https://kawasaki.co.nz/offroad/trail/klx230

230cc SOHC 2 valve, fuel injected, even has dualsport-ABS -- should be cheap and reliable, a good replacement for when my ol' xtz125 dies -- can probably even do 100kph --- will give suzuki's unchanged DR200 a punishing i'm sure. should be able to match or be cheaper than what the DR is currently sold for.

If the seat height is low enough then the bike it would replace has 19hp on the dyno. Something mid 20s would be better. 30 would be stunning.

Front end looks like the old Gen I KLR650. Probably had a lot of those left over when the Gen II went for bigger forks
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

after seeing the price of the 230R thats popped up, I can't see it selling very well at all, when you could get a forza 230F for $3500 with better everything bar fuel injection for an off-road beginner trailly

oh well, KLX230 road legal if it's going for same price as the offroad only R model, you might aswell but the KLX250S ZzZzzZzz herp derp

    From Kawasaki's brochure:

    14kW at 7600rpm
    20Nm at 6100rpm

The long-stroke engine offers robust low-mid range torque, pulling strongly and facilitating low-speed control. Exhaust pipe length was selected to contribute to the engine’s low-mid range performance. (Thus, it ain't no top end revver...)

    Kerb weight 132kg

    Fuel tank = 7.5 litre

    Retails at $7995
