i seem to recall when honda britain put simon crafar on a ride once they simply said to the acu there sort the license system or honda britain may pull the pin so things got better.
early kiwiws at the iom used to run under a british license at our ACU wasn't affiliated to the right people.... but that's pre 1930 so a moot point here.

Pre early 1980's. I think Croz had to ride in 1980 on a licence generated out of Aussie....

Moto America doesn't even make it to TV here anymore. Bloody shame, great series.
That sucks. Moto America was put together specifically to promote US talent and give them a path to world championships. TV coverage is a key piece of that promotion.

Good to see Shane running in the UK championship. He did really well in the States but he didn't get picked up by a good team for whatever reasons. Looking forward to seeing him taking it to the top level.

money, a foreign winner won't get your product on the front page, a local winner will. simply, the whole sport changed a while back from riders getting paid a lot to having to bring money to the table as well as talent.

Moto America is also focussed on promoting local talent so there's people coming through to be the next American world champ. A foreigner kicking all of their arses does not help that.

    Thruxton Circut.
Shane had further reasonable results, and good weather over the weekend at Thruxton, a big flat track set around an ex World War 2 airfield.
FP 1 had a tyre delaminate with a crash, but still had fastest lap time again.
Finishing 4th in his race, he is still on top of the BSB Stock 600 championship, well done.

the free practice 1 crash was his own mistake, not a tyre delaminating according to his facebook page.

    CADWELL PARK.
Brief update, Shane had a rather large off in practise, another great effort from the Team to get the bike sorted for qualifiying, battered and bruised from the crash he managed a 7th for qualifying, and finished 7th in the race, so another great effort to the lad, on a difficult track. I believe he his still leading the Championship by a slender margin still. Next round Oulton Park.

OULTON Park Circuit - Tarporley UK.

Shane had another great weekend, with two races this round he did'nt qualify to well due to another off in practise, but starting in 10th place for Race 1 and a tough battle getting through he finished a respectable
Race 2 and with a 4th spot start on the grid he only managed a 4th spot finnish.
With only Two race meetings remaining for the season his lead on the BSB Superstock 600 Championship has now narrowed down to 6 points.
So come on Kiwi show'em how its done, good luck for the next two rounds Shane.

    DONNINGTON round 11
Just getting small reports in is all i can post at the moment. Shane again had a few bike issues but manage to qualify in P3 for his race. Finishing the race in P4 has now given him a 19 point lead in the championship.
Next and final round 12, is Brands Hatch.
Great work to the Team at "Astro JJR Racing" for working with Shane and giving him this golden opportunity to race with some of the best, may his results and performance lead to better things in the future.
    Will keep yuose all posted.

Just another note that Shane will be back in New Zealand Riding a Kawasaki ZX10 for the "Suzuki Series"
