    Mikuni Smoothbore slides

Guy in Queensland is sending me a set of four 33mm smoothbore slides to be modified.

They're 1.5 cutaways and he needs 2.0. 1.5's are usually used with open carbs and 2.0 with air cleaners.
He can't find any 2.0 in Oz and I'm quite happy to modify them - but if anyone here wants to do swaps, we're open to that.

    Ignore the price.

looking a t the direct site they only have them in 1.5 and 2.5
the other ones were second hand.
WHats so special about the side other than the top bit, what diameter and length are they?
the other thing is what were the std bikes that had them?
could they be available ex factory part off Suzuki Kawasaki etc?

The 33's were an aftermarket carb only. Most are used open so the 1.5 slides are the most common. The only open carb setup I know of that uses 2.0's is the 1100 Kawasaki. They were never a very popular road carb as most people can't set them up.
In theory you could buy a range of slides but I'd doubt if a lot were actually sold.
They're still a fairly rare carb, most now prefer Keihins as they're much easier to set up properly.

The jets are common Mikuni - but the slides and I think the needles are unique to the 33.

I thought the GS1000s and the erl might have had them as std? just looked and they clearly dont........
