My DX Mail gig is over.

So I've been riding as a postie for DX Mail https://www.dxmail.co.nz/ for 17 months now but it'll come to an end in 3 weeks as I've been lucky enough to secure a position as an Immigration Officer.

It's been a hoot riding for DX. There has been rain of course but Christchurch's benign climate has meant not too many really unpleasant days.

They do struggle to get the experienced riders they need so if anyone is interested in finding out about what it's like to get paid to ride a bike, feel free to ask here and I can tell you all about it.

Are you carrying any food products, wood, or other prohibited items?

Have you been on a farm lately, or touched any animals?

OK. Perhaps I should have explained a bit more about my new job. I'll be processing visa applications from the nice shiny office in the CBD, not asking people to remove their trousers in a small back office at the airport!

My credit cards are with Mastercard. Can you offer any reason why I should switch to Visa?

So, you just get issued a stamp with "NO!" on it?

A stamp with "Fuck off, we're full" takes up too much space.

Blue Wing have a strange business model. They're importers who won't import and sellers who won't sell - unless you are a farmer?

At least that would make sense.
