    Challenge Has Been Set

    Morning.

Yes, I too read the same article and also thought "what about
    the missing motorcycle?".

So I contacted the Stuff editor, who passed me onto one of his
    staff, and who has replied.

They won't re-run the challenge - but - they are quite willing to
accept a time for a motorcycle run for comparison purposes.

    The rules are:

    - Leave Queen St in Petone at 7.30am and the destination is the Spark Building on Willis St.
    - The time is door-to-door, so includes time for parking-up/walking to the office.

Sensible riding. No crazy high-speed lane splitting.

I'm retired and don't commute into the city any more, but my normal
run around that time in the past (from the Hutt to parking up in the
building on the Terrace) was typically 20-25 minutes.

    So my question is:

Any there any bikers amongst you willing to take up their challenge ?

If so, post up your times.

    Cheers,
    Viking

Onehunga to britomart on the train requires precision timing as only every 30 minutes. Door to door I can do it in 45 minutes.
Taking either the scooter ( Vespa not lime) or motorcycle best time 30 minutes.

The train is however less than reliable and walking/ bus from Penrose takes it to an hour.
it’s hard to read the MSM news, the few new posts on Kiwi Brexit or trawl Facebook for amusing cat videos so I 90% take the train and get my 10 000 steps in my plus my suit stays wrinkle free.
DeMyer's Laws - an argument that consists primarily of rambling quotes isn't worth bothering with.
