    WR250R Bits and bobs

Hi, recent WR owner currently setting the bike up as a lightweight Adv bike.

After any bits and bobs people might want to part with or advice on the best place to find a few things.

Current priority for me is a larger tank and some pannier racks (for soft luggage).

    Me too, I've just bought a 2018 WR250R with 380km! It's been a long time since I've been here, hopefully I haven't forgotten how...

my sons is set up as this one is
    https://www.cycleworld.com/2014/09/0...rsion-project/
even same shock only has std restrictive muffler.
it also has the Clark rather than the IMS tank
I was in the process of doing a full stainless system before the lockdown
Best mod is to lower the gearing. Night and day its so far overgeared stock it isnt even funny.
the Rear mirrors and conrols inc gear lever are all crap.
there are some powermadd mirrors which can be flipped clossed into the barkbusters i seen on someones bike on the net which are supper neat but maybe no very legal.

Get a decent tail tidy as well.

    Mines fairly modified now:
    • Safari 14L tank
    • Lower gearing
    • Better bash pad
    • Tusk pannier racks
    • Wolfman bags
    • Eastern Beaver 3CS running a USB charger, GPS and extra 12V plug for my compressor or charging my camera
    • Cheap chinese tail tidy (which allowed bottoming suspension to modify rego plate on th Dusty)
    • Motoz Tractionator Desert H/T rubber

Successfully handled the dusty and all the revs that involved...
