Blurdy Video Clip Signatures....

Do those members who use video clips as signatures (and change them frequently), actually realise that some of us are on dial-up access?

I can alway tell when sAsLEX has posted in a thread - it takes 10 to 15 minutes for the whole page to load!

Then when you have done that, the pages load up so much quicker...

Hey, a nice clip, no complaints there! A damn sight more interesting than seeing someone in race gear walking up some stairs....

Having waited for the clip to completely down-load before moving on, I'll be 'right for a while - until the clip is changed again!

As was mentioned, I may have to turn off signatures, which I'd prefer not to. But massive mega-byte web-pages are blurdy frustrating for we poor dial-up users.

For crying out loud!! You realise we can no longer post images in posts now, due to you lot on dial up moaning about it? Can't you get broadband in Dunedin? And as you have an option to turn signatures off, can't see what the fuss is?

Broadband is only available if you live less than 7 km (wire distance) from an exchange. Apart from the central city districts and within town boundaries (where there is an exchange) most of the South Island does not get broadband.

We finally got a land line connected at home last week after a 4 year wait, but no broaband. If it was available I'd have it like a shot.

No. No form of broadband available as I'm about 3 kms too far away even for wireless.

Don't stress - I've taken the option of turning off sig's, which I didn't really want to do. I enjoy the "misheard lyrics" often used as signatures, so I was reluctant to turn off the sigs.

I can't see the point in turning each thread you post in from a Kbyte size to a Mbyte size. I reckon sig's should be limited in size (like avatars), to keep the site clutter down to a decent level.

google is the best place to find them but probally not at work as its hard work sifting through the porn to find them!
