Ducati V2 Pangale 2020- an Italian beauty

So after being a grinch and criticizing the looks of the 2020 Suzuki Vstrom, it's time to heap praise on bike designers. The 2020 V2 Panigale is gorgeous!

I'm not a horsepower chaser myself so reading the first ride impressions made me smile, comments along the lines of a bike for those more into enjoying the ride, the handling and cornering rather than trying to contain excessive hp.
155hp 104ft/lbs sounds ample for me.

This is a tweaked 959 Panigale apparently but the subtle styling cues really make a difference to my eyes anyway. That red boomerang panel under the tank looks spot on.

Never owned a Ducati. Which is a shame really. Ridden a few. The shuddering engine and rough gear boxes put me off some of them. Mates ones often broke down too and all I heard was the horror stories of service costs.

So what do you all think of this beauty?

Yep, I like it! But after the honeymoon is over, you are left wondering why the bike you paid so much money for has so many niggly little problems and faults that, tbh, you don't find with jap bikes...
But! It will put the biggest smile on your face and you will tell yourself it is worth it...
the Streetfighter V4 on the other hand...

Yep it's a challenge buying euro bikes over the reliability of jap bikes. I exclude Triumph from that category since I've owned a fair few and had nothing but fun times. Well OK a couple of minor niggles BUT Triumph responded quickly and don't allow repeat problems. Where the Italians after decades of making bikes seem to welcome faults with open arms.

I can't make my mind up if I like or don't like the look of the Streetfighter? A bit...busy.

So that's two new 2020 models I admire the looks of, the F900XR and this Panigale V2. Oh hang on, the Rocket 3 is awesome in every way.
