She sure didn't look happy on morning breakfast this morning when she was forced to sing his praises and justify her decision. Peter Williams also forced a concession that she indeed offered the post to Winnie the Poo.

With the economy going the way it is and the fact that she has to cosy up to one of the biggest noters and f**kwits in politics I say Dr. Don has got the best of this deal!

Making good on all the pre-election promises is going to further increase govt. spending by 1 and 1/2 billion and further push/pass the preferred inflation band. The lollie scramble for votes just hit the stomach end of the deal (indigestion anyone?). Increased interest rates and mortagee sales here we come!

She also just sh*t on one of her campainging partners! Nope things aren't going that well for Aunty Helen are they!

Helen would have blown the entire NZ First caucus to get her third term.
But I'm pleased, I got 90% of what I voted for. Winnie with Govt influence - the Greens out in the cold with the Maori party - United Future sidelined.
If it all goes pear shaped in the next 3 years I'll be buried in 'told you so's'.

Yeah but now no-one else has any clues about what WOULD have happened had it gone the other way.

It's a fait accompli - done deal, and we can never know otherwise.

I've just realised why they legalised prostitution.
With the election approaching and the coalition negotiations that would follow, the polititians realised it would make them feel better about being a bunch of giant whores.

What an appropriate name. Was she ex-army too?
Seriously, this is one of the biggest problems in the Police. A non-sworn Deputy Commissioner, what next?
Your bosses lost the plot when they allowed themselves to be called 'managers'.

The manager thing I agree with. I don't know the DC's background.

I am no fan of Winnies but no matter what is said about his baggage he does not let anyone else handle it. The man has balls. Remember the Winebox affair? He took a lot of hits on that one but no one ko'd him.

Likewise, not a Winnie supporter but the bullshit and misrepresentation of his word by the media, TV, Press etc is bloody treasonable in my opinion.
I have just read their agreement and it reflects his pre-election stance.
All of his voters should feel satisfied and all of his supporters who voted National in Tauranga should be feeling ashamed, disloyal bastards.
Yes whatever Winston is he is proof of racial equality in this country if you have the BALLS to back yourself.
To me he is just another socialist opportunist but I do have to admire his political tenacity. Cheers John.

Winnie's not a socialist. He's a true blue Nat in the old sense of the word, conservative pragmatism. He just doesn't go along with all the ACT members in drag that make up todays National party. One reason he engineered the disintegration of the National/NZ First coalition. He hated Shipley and all who sailed in her.
This is why Helen dealt with him, so that she could move Labour slightly to the right and away from the looney lefties in the Greens.
It's all about winning in 2008.

    Yes he is (IMHO).

Socialism: A political and economic theory which advocates that the community as a whole (Read; The Government) should own and control the means of production, distribution and exchange. (New Zealand First)

Socialist: One who believes in this theory. (Winston)

This country reeks of Socialism. There is no right wing here, everyone is well left of center when you consider the above.

Government should only be involved with:Armed forces and Police to protect the integrity of country. Everything else they interfere with they fuck it up.

Can they even be trusted to handle that when you look at their past records. Always increasing costs and lowering performance.

I am ashamed at how badly Winnie picks on the newbies.
We need all the hard working people famlies and people we can get to support all the 'true blue' kiwis that sit on their asses with their hands out!
This country needs bums on seats...(oops I mean kicking ass creating employment opportunties not people doing nothing and living off the state).
I don't care from where as long as they come here!
Diversity is doing wonderful things for this country and enriching our global perspective.
We compete against every other western country for immigrants! What do we offer rather than scenery and lifestyle?
    Diddly bloody squat

Why do most immigrants come to New Zealand...because Aus and US wouldn't take them.

Sorry John, but I have never heard Winnie advocate state ownership of anything other than strategic assetts. (ie AirNZ)
