    Triumph Tiger 955i

So the problem I have is the bike started well, as it always has, was ridden a few hundred meters, started to cough splutter then quit, full tank though fuel about a year old, drained off most of the old fuel and mixed in some fresh with what was left, bike would start at a poor idle, then quit, I have put in some Motul fuel system cleaner, but no gain, battery is well charged.
I am thinking it is possibly the in tank fuel filter, needing replacement.
I have tried doing nothing, but nothing changed.
Just looking for some Knowledgeable input, before I blindly tear into it.
This wouldn't be KB if there wasn't some wisdom, from the School of, "What bloke down pub said".

Can you keep it running despite the rough idle?

I had a similar problem with my carbie bike a few months ago, stale fuel. I did the same as you, drained some out and added fresh.

Wouldn't idle and refused to rev much, no power. Had to nurse the throttle to keep it running.

I took it for a ride anyway and after a torturous few k's it came right, happy again.

Sorted, replaced in tank filter, drained all old fuel, splash of new fuel, a little cranking and back to life again, there was some water in the old fuel, so worth pulling the tank any way.

To keep the fuel system clean, run a tank of 98 once a month or so. Detergent quality of that fuel works wonders.

I put an inline filter on my FJ. Sorts the shit out before it gets to the tank.
