I only found out what a hurdy gurdy was a week or so ago because it was a question on The Chase. (and not about Fanny Chmelar).

They're an interesting thing. More akin to a pianner than a guitar.

That is stunning work by the way.

my other new/old hobby was mountainbiking - I took it up in 1990 to rehab from an injury caused by martial arts and never went back to it because I enjoyed mtb so much. I had been off the bike for about three years until I bought this ebike last year. Now I am not sick going up Rapaki. It rides like an mtb (just a big long heavy one) and is a lot of fun.

I used to do a fair bit of the old whitewater kayaking but havent been out for a couple of years. Though last week I did get an invitation for a sifty river trip so I think I will take them up on it. See if it's like riding a bike....

I flew this for a while a few years ago, Aerodesigns Pulsar, light sport aircraft, but there was always something motorcycle related that seemed to crop up that was more pressing.
Plus, there's only so many cups of tea you can drink with a bunch of old men at remote airfields.
Now I mix it up between road riding on classic & modern road bikes, post classic race bike restoration, a classic car & my race team commitments both here & overseas, which doesn't really seem like a job most of the time.
I also enjoy just hanging out with my wife, she's very cool & makes everything so much more fun.

That is entirely true. It originally meant Katikati Flying Club, but the local flying fraternity called it "Keep Following Cliff" on account of the owners excellent navigation abilities.

Enjoyed my flight in KFC, but then there was an ulterior mission to be accomplished when I got to the destination. Worked out great too thanks

    Has Cliff still got it?

As apposed to 'Keep Following That Cliff''...which would more than likely, have a totally different outcome.

You have got to be the first guy that got flown to race a meeting to take the NZ title at the last round.
He's pulled back from it a bit & KFC is due a big birthday.
I think a deal is being done with one of his student pilots to tidy it up & take her over.

What gets me, is people who treat Motorcycling like it's some kind of 'Hobby'?!?.

Are you in the "Motorcycling is a lifestyle" camp?...which, ironically does sound a little camp.

I'd imagine some are so limp wristed the CBs throttle and clitch would be too much for them to handle.
