    Arrow ANYONE ABLE TO HELP?

    HEY THERE ONE N ALL,
JUST DONE THE REGISTER THINGY. NEWBY ON THE BLOCK BUT ANYHOW HERE GOES.
NOT NEW TO THE OLE TWO WHEEL EXPERIENCE 25 YRS BEHIND THE BARS ( CURRENTLY ON BIKE #23) MY RIDE/NON-RIDE AT PRESENT IS A 89' ZXR750, I'M HALFWAY THROUGH A GROUND UP REBUILD ( DUE TO POPPING THE CAMCHAIN AT A LEAST APPROPRIATE TIME, OPEN ROAD BEING NAUGHTY MMM) BUT I HAVE A MINOR PROBLEM TO SOLVE DUE TO AN EARLIER INCIDENT (BEING NAILED BY A GERMAN TOURIST AT A ROUNDABOUT).

I'M TRYING TO LOCATE A FAIRING FOR MY ZXR, $4.5G FOR A FACTORY REPLACEMENT IS OUT OF THE QUESTION & THE ONLY LOCAL FABRICATOR DOESN'T MAKE MY MODEL ( EARLIEST IS A 91' J SERIES, WHICH WOULD FIT EASILY BUT LOOKS PUSS UGLY ON A H1 CHASSIS). HAS OR DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE THERE MIGHT BE A DEAD 89' ZXR 750 WITH COMPLETE BODY WORK OR FAIRING PANELS FOR A 89' ZXR ? OR HAS ANYONE ANY SUGGESTIONS BAR SOURCING FAIRINGS FROM OFF SHORE OR FROM WRECKERS( BEEN THERE DONE THAT). AND DON'T SUGGEST DUMPING THE ZXR COZ SHES GOT THE BEANS IN ALL THE OTHER AREAS.
CAN EXCHANGE INFO ON RESTORATION OF BIKES AS HAVE REBUILT 5 BIKES (1 MADE IT INTO STREETBIKE MAGAZINE BACK IN 96') PLUS A HOTROD 84' IT250 YAMAHA VMX

THANKS FOR THE CURRENT REPLYS / ANYONE KNOW WHERE A COMPLETE BUT DEAD ZXR MIGHT BE?

thanks for the replys posted so far people,
the suggested ideas have already been tried previously though thanks ,
justfairings in hamilton only go as early as J series ZXR fairings
have got a reli in oz keeping an eye on wreckers there also.

wouldn't mind sourcing a complete dead ZXR H1 for parts ( anyone know where one might be? preferably sth island

The roundabout dingle with the german tourist was the old car cutting across from the outside lane on to me scenerio ( hard to stop when your cranked over and come face to face with the drivers door ! )

the ZXR doesn't look to bad with modified panels ( bikini fairing & belly pan) and prior to the camchain parting company it actually went better, maybe coz of a diet of avgas & a few tuning mods (steady 240k at 9200rpm) plus its economical too ( averages 18km/l ).

if it helps Ive got a set of fork lowers and a sprocket and carrier left.
I sold a shit load of H1 parts to bryce at buckets and bits
I sold my race plastics-virtually a complete set to a guy on Trade me called toddy1 --might be worth lookin out for him--he bought them to practice his plastic welding on

    howdy

welcome to the site, enjoy, please leave it as you found it and watch out for the trolls. Id forget the fairing and just go naked unless a good 2nd hand one turns up, which is highly unlikely
