    Kia ora koutou

    Kia ora whanau.

How will you spend your Waitangi Day? What does it mean for you?

For me, it means celebrating being part of this unique country. I became citizen a year or so ago, and appreciate all that being here means.

    How say you?

Day off work, and because it falls on a Thursday, I, like most of NZ, will be taking Friday off as well.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.
those cheap ass bitches can do anything with ductape.

    Means plenty to me!

Thankful to my forebears for their courage and commitment in making the long journey to live here and also to those that were already established here for helping them settle in.

Warts and all there is nowhere else that I would rather call my home and I will celebrate Waitangi Day simply by enjoying my day as a New Zealander. -

I'll be following in the tradition of my ancestors:

By going to the nearest Marae and sticking a flag on it, claiming it in the name of her Majesty etc.
