I had a Datsun 180B. It was 10 years old when I got it. My Dad got a new Austin Princess. The Princess did not last longer than the Datsun. It was completely structurally fucked at 5 years of age. I sold the Datsun to my Mum's boss. It was 24 years old when it was struck off as NEFR. I replaced a head gasket and it's suspension at 110,000 kms. Mum's boss had it repainted and the rear arches repaired. It did another 100,000 before it went to the yard in 1998.

Perspectives. When they started selling Datsuns in the UK many of them were rusty from new then the salty roads finished them off. Mechanically great, though. Probably a good time to have bought waxoyl shares.

So you thought that Binky was perhaps going on a bit.? Quite the big undertaking? Needs a bit of a shed and a fair amount of technical knowledge?

yeah, those guys have got nothing on this guy.

He buys a wooden boat and "restores" it. 152 episodes, so far. MAJOR commitment. Unbelievable workmanship. The technical details (look up the "lofting" episodes) will make your head spin. Plus there is an interesting cast of characters and some very cool pets.

I have been sick for the last few days and been binge watching the hell out of these.

It's going to be a lovely boat when (if) ever he finishes it. Not so sure about cutting a hole in the side to insert a front door but I guess they know what they;re doing. The engine and electrical installation is really really nice.
it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

From the pictures i've seen in the wee magazine that is sporadically left in my letter box Noah managed it. He didn't even have the internet for help.

Well I missed that more than I realised. Thanks for posting link.

Still think cars are overly complex. It's a road car. But I just keep thinking, everything added is weight.
Sorry. Its an Obsession left over from racing tiny cc motorcycles.

    A Bad Obsession.

I briefly thought about posting a comment suggesting they used the scales at JCB to weigh the car.

There are people with good skills and the opportunity to display them on YouTube. I came across a Brit guy restoring a French chateau destroyed by fire in the 1980s. Basically there are only walls and ground floors remaining, almost all woodwork: stairs, upper floors, and roof, all gone. There are other similar projects but one is enough thanks.

I'm susceptible though and will check out the Tally Ho rebuild. Winter is coming, the weather will likely ensure viewing time.

I glanced at this a wee while ago and quickly became very impressed with the builder. Obviously too busy to start a youtube channel.
