Sorry, i was miles out, but let's split the difference and call it the 60s. Or 1966.
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
I decided to become a patron of Bad Obsession/Project Binky. Anybody that gives me as much enjoyment as those guys have well deserves my $2USD a month. Especially if they can make hot rodding that truck interesting. Talk about your "built like a brick shithouse" Trev.

The other thing is that its inspired me to think "Fuck, I've never liked that (say) bracket, I'm going to cut it off and make another"... Varying degrees of success but hey, got nothin' but time in the Rona lockdown.

They gave me the courage to rip the tired race only wiring loom out of the MV today & make a new street one.
I mean, nine wires, amateur effort compared to theirs.
Up to episode 21. Still flabbergasted how complicated cars are. Or overcomplicated by their own admission.
Looms are good from scratch. Painful from std go highly modified. Especially when your requirements evolve mid process. From scratch is easier but you need a big piece of paper for the diagram and to understand if you are switching power or connecting ground to complete the circuit.
And don't solder. And never ever bloody ever use preinsulated crimps.

On reflection I think you may be right. I gave my BSA history book and parts book to a guy who was restoring a B44 so I can't check. IIRC the book explained that when Jeff Smith won the title the factory management got excited and insisted on a titanium frame against Smith's objections. So that would be, as you say, 1966.
I was recalling it as being from nearer the end of the line, a last desperate throw of the dice, but apparently not.
