Ah, well, where do I start......??

Personal abuse like some of the discussions about the police, race issues etc degenerate into. Generates heat but no light. It's BS. Do it via e-mail or PMs if you have to.

Racism full stop. When discussion deteriorates to the level of insults and name-calling based on ethnicity, moderators should step in. Spirited discussion is what it's about, that's fine, and that is not always going to be polite or even reasanable, but not blatant racial insults

Hypocrisy the tut-tutting about not using the right riding gear, or the inconsiderate actions of the despised "cagers" (another bit of hypocrisy: I would bet that most members here have a "cage") when bikers are among the most inconsiderate road-users out there (lane-splitting/queue jumping/speeding etc etc). FFS some of the very same posters who tell of pulling wheelies and travelling at warp speed and clipping mirrors on cars get all agitated when someone isn't wearing the proper gear on their bike or drives their "cage" inconsiderately. People who live in glass houses...

The obsession with bodily functions for the love of God !!!!!! it is tiresome reading all this anal-retentive impaired-potty-training cloacally-oriented tripe about peeing and farting and jerking off and banging farm animals...can you guys get your hands outta your pants for 5 minutes???????

Oh I could think of more....but I betta stop now before I get myself into trouble

I don't about this NCEA thing - this thread is hard enough to keep up with. It's intermingling with other threads - tea and goats and ...
    Where will it all end...
Everyone's having a slow work day today (or it's busty and they just can't be arsed)

Are we supposed to be sensible in here? I thought that was for everyday life....
This is a place, with places within it, that people can blow off a little steam (amoung (sp?) other things girls) as long as they don't get to angry, all good I say... Bring on the Fish!!

I don't see how lane splitting is inconsiderate, there is a time and a place, sure when you white line it down the waterfront on one wheel, narrowly missing cars and pushbikes, but when the traffic is crawling (and don't forget the cops pulling people over to TELL THEM that they can lane split in certain areas) I don't see what is wrong. Mabey you just need to stop being so PC eh?

Don't forget bikes can't also be super duper considerate all the time as we need to have a policy of defense while riding. Eg pull over to the left for the whole ride and sit at 50 so people can pass on narrow roads or something - puts you in danger. Well that was a crap example anyway.

Huge sigs can get annoying, but just disable them then.
People raving on about their bike not working and posting 5 trillion times about it can get annoying as well.
    Newbies not searching first also.

Bleh. Who really cares about my viewpoint anyway as this is the new BITCHING thread.

Fair point but some (actually quite a lot from what I've seen) of lane-splitting is done illegally and/or inconsiderately. I've had my car mirror clipped a few times so it can't be too unusual. I would speculate that some of those same people bleat on this forum about the illegal and/or inconsiderate actions of other road users . Hence the hypocrisy.

Can anyone else see the irony here?
