I know who chink refers to. I'm generally not looking at the driverrs nationality when dealing with cars. Just the way the cars are behaving. All the incidents I've had with cars have involved NZ honky drivers.

Has the retardation of the Give Way actually done what it was claimed to do?

It's more because the millions of dollars that go towards 'safety improvements', Transmission Gullies ($850mill just for that so far, you watch, it'll top a bill), etc far outweigh the money allocated to renewing existing roads. There are a lot of LA's that would LOVE to fix a bunch of roads, but NZTA says no.

I would actually like to see a working group (hehe Labour key word right there) of engineers plus an accountant put together who go overseas and look into how the tax money is spent over there in the places they build roads well, then compare it to what we are spending and actually see if we are getting good value for money or not?

Of course we're not getting value for money. We live almost in the middle of the gawddamn pacific ocean, about as far away from oil as you can get. We have pathetic buying power/market influence cos population wise, we're a drop in the ocean. It's amazing we don't pay through the nose more than we already do, tbh.
