My whinge is quite a simple one, and Pete will understand the 3 E's as he's often commented on this way of thinking.
The first E is for engineering, so yeah we're getting better roads built and better vehicles to operate. All moving in right direction.
The second E is for education, so as a trainer/assessor I'm ok with the standard for obtaining a licence moving up. Still quite easy to obtain licence in NZ though, but that's a separate topic.
The third E stands for enforcement, and herein lies my whinge. Simply not enough enforcing of the basics, yep I accept it's a political problem by virtue of not having enough HP crew on the front line. Doesn't help when some of the driving displayed by general duties NZP is hardly leading by example.
But yep, I'm turning into a dinosaur I suppose
...I reckon that peeps should appreciate what we have as a country...appreciate what freedoms we have...appreciate that everyone is different and, that in some other peoples eyes, your absolute principals are shite...which is entirely applicable to the situation...nobody is right, and also never wrong, if the application of that principle were employed in the reply to others interpretations of where their intellect has dropped them off at, then all interactions are fucked from the next reply...a bit like roundabouts really...
So hot on the heels of my last proposal, have you noticed how many LH drive cars there seem to be around these days?
It just doesn't seem safe to allow these guys to drive on the side of the road that the cars just weren't designed for.
So my
Proposal is simple. . . .
I think you see where I'm going with this
Just be a little careful coming around corners from now
Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
There's a LHD Fiat Multipla, the ugliest car in history for sale in a local buy and sell. The comments are hilarious.
It amazes me that someone in 2002 went to all the trouble of bringing in such a monstrous car in LHD, clearly someone who lived overseas and brought it with.
If I had the spare money I'd buy it and set fire to it.

Geez guys. I meant they should drive on the RH side of the road.
And give way to the Left.
Except on weekends and public holidays.
Don't you look at my accountant.

I thought elections were decided by angry posts on social media. - F5 Dave
So, entirely impractical and unenforceable in NZ then.
Governments have done everything possible to eliminate individuals thinking for themselves, so that won't happen.
A recent comment was along the lines of "the best people do things without being told, when others are not looking" or similar. The observation related to people returning their trolleys at the supermarket... There is an increase in lazy cunts not doing this, from my observations.
I like the UK version where you need a gold coin to unlock the trolley, then get it back when you put it back in the rack.
