Up for sale is my Tuono, one of the 2nd gen V2s. They're a fantastic ride with the Rotax engine. No ABS, no traction control, no ride modes. This was the naked superbike of its era. Comes with 2 keys, the ECU code and factory tool kit.
As the WOF was done in January (ergo more than a month old) the bike is sold as-is, but I'll make sure it's got at least 3 months registration at point of sale. Rego has just expired this month, so currently on hold pending sale.
Features
- KSS Racetech front end (including gold valving treatment) and Ohlins rear shock, sprung for 110kg (work done mid to late last year)
- Oberon clutch slave cylinder
- Powercommander (PC3) with custom map from BRM dyno in Paeroa
- DNA re-usable air filter
- Aprilia Racing RSVR Factory titanium exhausts (lighter than OEM and a good sound/flow)
- Modified side stand (the stock one is notoriously bad for holding the bike safely)
- Crash protection fitted on sides of engine
- Heated grips (great for winter riding or cold mornings)
- Scottoiler
- Radiator and oil cooler guards
- New battery and stator
- Fresh oil and filter, other fluids done mid last year (receipts for recent work available if you want them)
- Michelin Road 5 fitted
Extras included
- Gel front seat with red trim
- Solo seat cowl in matching paint scheme (comfort pillion seat already on)
- OEM exhausts (Custom Chambers has cored, but too loud for my liking, one can outer sleeve has a slight kink in it)
- Older Ohlins spring (black) that came with the bike, removed during KSS upgrade work last year
- Original fork internals pre KSS Racetech upgrade
- Ohlins steering damper (some parts to fit are unobtanium, so was going to make, but never got around to it)
- Ebay cheapie front reservoirs from a previous owner (I suspected they were letting air into the lines, so went back to Aprilia parts)
- Set of Ventura Aero luggage and suitable rack (1x Aero Spada VII and 1x Aero Delta VII). 1 section of the zip on the Spada is a bit fiddly, but still zips together etc.
Bear in mind this is a 14 year old bike, it's not in showroom condition (price reflects that) but has all the good bits to really enjoy the ride. I still love the power delivery and sound, but it's ultimately a cramped ride for me, compared to my two other bikes.
Unless you have a KTM Adv 1090 R (I think that's what I want next but haven't test ridden yet, this has to go first!) I'm not interested in trades (this definitely includes 4 wheeled vehicles).
Test rides available, but usual rules about bringing cash and crashing = buying. I'll check your licence and identity. Happy to arrange transport nationwide at buyers expense.
Bike is advertised elsewhere and may be ridden occasionally so mileage may increase.
