Oh and the cheap helmet performed extremely well also.
3201 kilometres in one day ride ... in the rain. You are not only tough but fast (in the rain) too ...

You'll be that tough ... you don't need gloves ...

I know of one guy that spent more money buying his helmet ... than he did buying his motorcycle.

Within a month ... during an overtaking move he got wrong ... he died.

Perhaps ... it's not the helmet itself ... but whats in the helmet that counts ...

After going 500 meters in the rain ... they'll be worn out.

He might need to buy a spare set ...

Experience is overrated. Sometimes doing things just seems like a good idea.

There are plenty of dead motorcyclists (more each year) ... that had a good idea.

Lack of skill ?? ... lack of experience ?? ... lack of training ?? ... or maybe ... just lacking in a little luck.

Either way it doesn't really matter now ... they're still dead.

And if they had listened to that little voice in their head ... the one that said .. "Is this really a good idea ??" .. they might still be alive.

Training, experience, skill and luck are all fine and dandy ... but stupid is harder to beat.

So your friend was stupid. Good. We agree on something then.
