man what a run. tell ya if thats a medium paced run then hell show me where the nana's hang out. dam that was a quick ride with the turn off to dury and a quick leg to kopu.
thanks boys and next time i have the all clear to leave the pillion at home. so then i can stretch the gears.
anyone got a decent rear suspension set up for a 94 cbr.
two up just was not a good thing at that pace.
and first time around the loop and wow what a road loved it and scenery sweet as. and the weather was all there for me.
and cary your 600 so did impress me. nice riding.
and the backside had so forgotten what it is like to do a few kms.
so next time its solo and i'll be doing alot better in keeping up.
but you all serious that was a medium paced ride?

Maybe medium pace on the straights for the 1000's but corner speed would have to be fast, course some of those boys may say it was medium. How else would they explain a 600 air cooled single on their tail

Thanks for organising the ride Jim. Excellent day and those lads from Te Aroha are quick.
Might try some of those tyres Cary uses, they seem to stick bloody well.

    Jeez I'm knackered.

Hey guys...had a ripper day, by the time we got back we had done 285 ks for the day...We had a couple more beers at Waikino then toddled off home

Was great to meet you guys and drool over your bikes...Coroglen is so cool when there is heaps of bikes there...there was even a Pig-Hunting competition going on at the back of the pub

Hope to see you guys again soon...That camping trip sounds mean too thats coming up Yoshi

    Until then

So was it you guys who were filtering their way through the HRC ride before stopping at the Tapu pub south of Whitianga?

Zapf and I had a great day with that bunch. The VTR was revelling in being run as hard a she could all day. Even kept up with an Aprilia RSV Mille in the twisties. Great stuff.

And as a bonus, we were sitting at the pub having lunch in Whitianga, and abut 20 metres off shore was a pod of Orcas, which then swam up Whitianga harbour. Seriously cool. And the best pub burger I've had in a long time.

Ahh, thought it mgiht have been you guys. Well the pace you had on was well beyond what the little 2-fiddy could put out, so probably best I ended up with the earlier crew.

There were about 15 to 20 bikes for the HRC ride I think, as some of them took off earlier and some new ones joined at Coromandel, so it kept fluctuating.

But didn't the weather turn it on? Great stuff.
