Further to yesterday's post about Lin Wood, there are indications he's losing the plot. He's now suggesting the Vice President should be charged with treason and implies he should be executed by firing squad. Problem is that the US has enough mental cases with guns, that there is a chance one of them might take matters into his own hands.

VP Pence appears to be slightly more rational (in this case) than trump would have hoped

and now a Federal judge has dismissed the suit

it's not a bad thing till you throw a KLR into the mix.

Gohmert is quoted elsewhere as saying that the decision leaves no alternative "But to bring violence to the streets - like Antifa or BLM"

I think we can see where he's coming from.

The US is paying a very high price for the mistake of electing the orange haired conman to a job he couldn't do.

One plus to this is that it may become so wacko that most Republicans representatives could find themselves in a position where they can no longer support Trump. But having "sold their souls to the devil", I expect many may feel they have no choice but to continue down the rabbit hole with their Great Leader.

The New York Times and The Observer reported that the company had acquired and used personal data about Facebook users from an external researcher who had told Facebook he was collecting it for academic purposes.
Shortly afterwards, Channel 4 News aired undercover investigative videos showing Nix boasting about using prostitutes, bribery sting operations, and honey traps to discredit politicians on whom it conducted opposition research, and saying that the company "ran all of (Donald Trump's) digital campaign". In response to the media reports, the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) of the UK pursued a warrant to search the company's servers.Facebook banned Cambridge Analytica from advertising on its platform, saying that it had been deceived. On 23 March 2018, the British High Court granted the ICO a warrant to search Cambridge Analytica's London offices. As a result, Nix was suspended as CEO, and replaced by Julian Wheatland.
CA's involvement in the 2016 Republican Party presidential primaries became known in July 2015. As of December 2015, CA claimed to have collected up to 5,000 data points on over 220 million Americans. At that time Robert Mercer was a major supporter of Ted Cruz. The Mercer family funded CA directly and indirectly through several super-PACs as well as through payments via Cruz's campaign.

Cruz became an early major client of CA in the 2016 presidential campaign. Just prior to the Iowa Republican caucuses, the Cruz campaign had spent $3 million for CA's services,[151] with additional money coming from allied Super-PACs. After Cruz's win at the Iowa caucus CA was credited with having been able to identify and motivate potential voters.[152][153] Ultimately the Cruz campaign spent $5.8 million on work by CA.

Ben Carson was a second client of CA; his campaign had paid $220,000 for "data management" and "web service" as reported in October 2015.[15] Marco Rubio's campaign was supported by Optimus Consulting. Meanwhile, the third competitor, Governor John Kasich, was supported by rivalling firm Applecart.[

After Cruz dropped out of the race for the Republican presidential nomination in May 2016, Robert Mercer and his daughter Rebekah Mercer started to support Trump. In August, it became known that CA followed their allegiance and worked for Trump's presidential campaign. Trump's campaign also worked with digital firm Giles Parscale. In September, the Trump campaign spent $5 million to purchase television advertising.
The personal data of up to 87 million Facebook users were acquired via the 270,000 Facebook users who used a Facebook app called "This Is Your Digital Life." By giving this third-party app permission to acquire their data, back in 2015, this also gave the app access to information on the user's friends network; this resulted in the data of about 87 million users, the majority of whom had not explicitly given Cambridge Analytica permission to access their data, being collected. The app developer breached Facebook's terms of service by giving the data to Cambridge Analytica.

On 1 May 2018, Cambridge Analytica and its parent company filed for insolvency proceedings and closed operations

On 4 August 2017, Michael Flynn, who is under investigation by US counterintelligence for his contacts with Russian officials, amended a public financial filing to reflect that he had served in an advisory role in an agreement with CA during the 2016 Trump campaign.

n 2018, following disclosures that the company had improperly used the personal information of over 50 million Facebook users while working on Trump's presidential campaign, The Times of Israel reported that the company had used what Nix had called "intelligence gathering" from British and Israeli companies as part of their efforts to influence the election results in Trump's favor

Cruz is an interesting character, but not in a good way. Born in Canada the son of a Cuban immigrant, he got himself elected in Texas as a white supremacist. Naturally when he was running to be the Republican candidate to stand against Hillary Clinton, Trump wanted his elligibilty to be president tested by the courts since he was not born in the USA. During that campaign Trump said Cruz's father was involved in the assasination of JFK. Trump also said Cruz's wife was ugly. So naturally Rafael Eduardo Cruz (call me Ted) is now a staunch Trump supporter.

He was elected to the Senate as a member of the Tea Party. The Tea Party people were for nothing, they were basically against everything. The Tea Party survivors in the Senate now refer to themselves as the Freedom Caucus.

Typically he votes against aid to areas of the US hit by a natural disaster - unless it's in Texas.

The years haven't changed much. He is still for nothing against everything, except Ted Cruz - and Donald J Trump.

This is truly extraordinary - and scary. In an hour long phone call Trump tries to cajole the Secretary of State for Georgia to overturn the result of November's election.
It really does seem he believes the shit he is spouting. The scary part? Even if Georgia did what he asked it wouldn't give him the election, what else has he got going on?

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o3hrN0cP58Y

That should result in the 25th Amendment being invoked but past performances suggest it won't be. Although a Trump supporter suggesting Pense should face a firing squad might have changed Pense's point of view.

PS The Washington Post has the full 1:02:04 of the call, but the short version is enough for me.

The worst thing is the Republicans have caved as usual and it is estimated that at least 10 senators and over 100 representatives are going to object to the results in some states on 6 January.

I expect most of them are up for reelection in 2022 and are shit scared of Trump. But this could be a pattern for what happens after 20 January, with Trump still having a huge influence over what the Republicans do.

    Interesting alright....

Another site says he has just sunk trump with his latest inquiry that will calm the voters until it’s too late to do anything. 14 days during which investigators with foggy glasses will find nothing, and by then Biden’s is in anyway...
