Trump's "mob boss" call to the Georgia Secretary of State has caused excitement in the US. Trump supporters say that the Georgia reps broke the law by recording the conversation. There were several laws broken but that'd be the least of them. Besides which one party to a conversation taping it is reportedly legal in both DC and Georgia. Trump though has issued legal proceedings.

Apparently there were a number of people present in Georgia for the call and the SoS said he would not release the tape unless ha was attacked by Trump. Following the call Trump fired of an angry tweet about the SoS so the tape was released to the Washington Post.

One commentator has described it as sheer desperation because he's facing probable bankruptcy - and possible gaol time.

Who knows what promises have been made in anticipation of a second term....and to whom. He's obviously scared.

I'm only half way through too. I'm wondering if he actually believes all that crap because he's seen it reported, but nobody dares tell him it's nonsense. Some of the incidents he mentions have popped up on KB 'cause his 'believers' posted them here. F'rinstance the video of the 'suitcases' being dagged out from under a table. Subsequently these spurious reports were debunked, but I'm wondering if anybody has told Trump.

It is generally conceded that the Trump Presidential Library will contain only colouring books - and possibly the lavatory on which he sat while composing angry tweets.

About now Cleta Mitchell will be losing sleep. (Is Cleta the female equivalent of Cletus?) She was with Trump during his call to Georgia and took part, she was "not the attorney of record but has been involved". The law firm employing her has anounced that her presence on the call is of concern and is being investigated.

Interesting. It's almost as if they think she might have been walking down the hallway, tripped, and fallen into the Oval Office?



Update: The lawfirm is a large one with multiple offices and had a policy that they would not represent anybody contesting the election result. Ms Mitchell has handed in her resignation.
