Oh My Dear Pritch, you presume far too much....

You see (and you didn't know this about me) I've been on active Military bases in Europe (including those shared with the Yanks) and have seen, with my own eyes, Rows upon Rows upon Rows upon Rows of kit.

So I've got actually a very good idea of the sheer scale that we are dealing with. So please do continue with your assumptions

Not true, immediately I can think of the time when they pushed a bunch of Aircraft over the side of an Aircraft Carrier.

Not quite the same level that happened here, short by several billion.

You got any proof of that assertion? It's a pretty bold one - especially since Trump's line on this was quite succinct 'You didn't need to do anything Joe, just stick with the Plan that I created'.

They died with their Freedom maintained though.

(Okay, admittedly I'm partly saying that as an excuse to post this Meme)

But in seriousness, we've covered your thoughts on Covid/Trump before, I don't hold him responsible in the way that you do - but for the Afghanistan pull out, I hold Biden fully responsible.

And I'm enjoying the hell out of rubbing it in the faces of everyone who spouted off how bad and upresidential and incompetent at Foreign Policy Trump was - as I don't really need to do much except point to Afghanistan and post a clip of his Press Pantomime and say 'Behold, Biden!'

So you'll have to excuse my Gloating and 'You got what you wished for and now you are getting what you deserved'

That the senators grow fat on corruption is not in question. While it's not particularly relevant you did remind me of something.

Elmer Keith was a long time gun writer in the USA. His autobiography is called, "Hell, I Was There". The "there" referred to is the Wild West. When WW2 broke out he thought he would get an advisory job of some sort. He had been an outspoken critic of the M1 Garand though and that had pissed people off, so he was posted to an army ordinance depot.

After a while he noticed that there were officers who did nothing but swim, golf, or play basketball all day. Curious, he inquired as to who these people were. He was informed that they were sons of congressmen and senators who had been sent to that camp to sit out the war in safety.

The US politicians have a long record of lookingafter themselves and their own.

Or for more recent examples - the Democrat Mayors/governors who want to take away Self-Defence Firearm laws, defund the police - and then hire Private body guards (at the Tax Payers expense) to protect themselves.

Although cracks aside, interesting his criticism of the Garand (Since WW2 showed it was the correct way to go)

"Defund the police" was a stupid saying the Democrats came up with. Their messaging is crap. The Republicans jumped on that and their witless sycophants repeat it. Actually the idea is good. They wanted to take some money from the law enforcement budget and put it in say mental health. In this country we have mental health crisis teams who attend incidents where somebody is experiencing a mental health crisis. They don't have that in the USA, the cops go, and too often the patient winds up dead, shot by the cops.

"Defund the Police" is one of the scary things the Republicans use to keep their base angry. Like critical race theory, sharia law, caravans, and the other bogeymen they trot out which are nonsense but are spouted by their followers who have no idea what any of it means.

It helps identify idiots though, when things like "woke" "CRT" or "Soros" are invoked, you know you are dealing with the factually challenged.

    No.

The actual radicals who run the movement, the thought leaders want to completely abolish Law Enforcement. That is their stated goal.

Now, the Wider Democrats have tried to spin this to be the above - but all you need to do is listen to what they said - they want to dismantle it, completely.

    No.

In another thread, I actually posted some quotes from the founders of the Critical Race Theory tradition - It is wholly Racist. I'm more than happy to point you to the Academic literature on the subject, so you can see for yourself.

I think you need to post more Cope.

The Lady doth protest too much.

Edit: Interesting, it seems Husa deleted his posts, only to post the same thing after I made this post about his obvious Cope.

Earlyish in the pandemic, a begrudging Trump holds a press conference to announce the CDC recommendations on wearing a mask to best mitagate the deadliest event that killed the most Americans ever in history. At the end of the conference Trump says that he does not think he will be wearing one. As a result millions of Trump supporting families take the position their trusted dear leader Trump promoted. Millions more are needlessly infected, and thousands die on a bed of Trumps words. Trump is DIRECTLY responsible for spreading the virus and killing the very people he swore an oath to protect.

August 2021, TDL issues the following.

Is political blindness and breathtaking hypocrisy sports in the Special Olympics? Because you Mr TDL are a shoe in for a gold medal in each event - get on a plane, the games are not over yet mate!

The interesting thing is a quote from one of Trump's most recent events - where he talked to the Crowd about the Vaccine, the crowed booed, and Trump replied with the following:

And you know what? I believe totally in your freedoms. I do. You’ve got to do what you have to do,” Trump said. “But, I recommend: take the vaccines. I did it. It’s good. Take the vaccines.
And that my Dear Sugilite is the very Crux of the issue.

If we are to accept your premise that Trump supporters will 'brainlessley follow their dear leader' - then why aren't Vaccination rates highest amongst Republicans/Trump supporters?

Trump's position is: I am going to do something for myself you are free to do what you feel is best (with the implied and accept the consequences therein).

I hold to a similar stance: That the Freedom to choose is fair and above the most important. And that includes the Freedom to choose the wrong choice.

Trump admitted he played the virus down. He said he did that so as not to panic people. While not actually just another lie, that is misleading. The only "people" he was worried about panicking were the ones involved in the stockmarket. So hundreds of thousands died to keep the stockmarket up.

A lawyer has made the case that Trump should be charged with negligent homicide. So to should Kristi Noem, Greg Abbott, and Ron DeSantis but the Justice Dept seems completely moribund.

Currently several elected representatives are actively advocating revolution. Such talk is alll over social media, and it seems is now a regular event at school board meetings. No doubt when something does happen the Justice Dept will again say they had no hint. Like January 6th though, everbody knew it was coming but them.

Many Trump supporters follow his words - stop being a dick. As for why are vaccinations not the highest among repubs, perhaps it is to do with the many senators, congress repubs and the likes of fox being anti vax riight now because it suits their political agendas. To imply that Trump supporters don't follow his words is being facetious in the extreme. You are determined to be a dick when it comes to this sort of thing.

Are you the president of the USA? No? Cool, you are perfectly entitled to your wrong choices, just as well, you make many (sorry, could not resist)
Trump on the other hand had a obligation to protect his citizens. He did not.

Most of your points and pickaparts only make sense in your severely politicaly tainted logic, further more, many are deflections to boot (what about Biden, what about BLM, what about what about), so taking your deflection quote earlier, you most certainly are a hypocritical deflectionest.

No, I'm using a real world example to disprove your claim the Trump supporters follow his words.

I disagree that it's due to being anti-vax, I'd suggest it's more to do with a distrust of when certain groups are all in perfect lock-step with each other.

    (I know you couldn't :P )

    No. He does not.

I mean this both literally and metaphorically:

    Literally:

I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the Office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my Ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States.
    Metaphorically:

The role of Government as expressed in the US Constitution and the surrounding theory/philosophy follows from this statement "The function of Government is solely to protect the Natural rights of it's Citizens" - it says nothing about protecting the Citizens, only protecting their Rights.

See above in the Oath of Office - it's to defend the Constitution, not the People. Now, by protecting the Constitution and defending it, the people under the auspices of the Constitution have their Liberties maintained, to do with as they wish. If that means not wearing a Mask, catching a disease and dying, then they did so exercising their Freedoms.

This may seem Callous, but that is the price of Freedom - "The Tree of Liberty..." - there's a reason why that quote is so ingrained in the American Psyche.

Generally I use the whatabout argument to highlight the heavy bias in the Media and to show the hypocrisy of the issue - that certain behavior is permissible of you are in the allowed, prescribed political groups and verboten if you aren't.

I contend that Behaviour is either acceptable or unacceptable based on it's own merits, regardless of the Politics in question.

But seeing as you raised my Politically Tainted Logic - Have you decided on Critical Race Theory yet?

^^ A pandemic arrives such as the world has never seen before. New situations can and do bring up the need for new laws. I love how TDL rages against new laws/mandates that are designed to protect people and launches absurdities such as masks somehow prevent freedom The masks are socialists ways to control people, whine, whine. Democrats use masks as devices of virtue signalling snivel, snivel. Right wing websites brainwash otherwise smart people - oh wait, that one is true

Which bias are you talking about mate, the left wing media, or the right? They are pretty much as bad as each other. I've not looked into critical race theory as I'm fairly immune to fearful white repubs bleats. My admittedly extremely limited knowledge of it is it has been around for years, but the repubs have only just recently turned it into an issue.
I have however witnessed first hand the systemic racism leveled at black people every day for nearly 2 years while I was there. Trust me, the black people have an absolute rock solid case to be complaining about it.
But put the boot on the other foot for 2 minutes, and TDL is all in on that shit - give me a break.
