See musk as predicted months ago was not serious about buying twitter. Nice troll though. He sucked in plenty
Not really. I'm a bit bummed about the Twitter deal Not going through - the reasons why though are getting very interesting - particularly as the advertising fees Twitter are predicated on the amount of live vs bot users.

I don't think this is over.

One suggestion has been that Elon takes Twitter to court over their Bot Count and when the bottom of the share price falls out, then he buys it for a Bargain.

He could be playing 4D chess Trump style though (musk that is)...
Could also be a big social experiment by the elite just to see how public responds to prospect of change in major electronic institutions. Remember this all started not long after fakebook was plunging in value....
Twitter was originally started to destroy old style journalism. Getting rid of accurate researched articles with material backed up by quotes from named sources. Replaced with 140 character posts in scrolling format that quickly bury mistakes or lies.
And the thing with lies is you don’t want to say too much as eventually something contradicts.
So what’s a better way than to limit breaking news to 140 characters....
It’s job is done, mainstream media has copied the format so Twitter is kinda redundant anyway.
It’s also largely populated by the extreme left which also makes it less effective as the target audience doesn’t really use it...

I've not been that impressed with the jan 6th hearings, unless it is a case of death by a thousand cuts with an unexpected decapitation at the end.
As per the video below, everyone with a brain knew this was trumps play, only the most desperate fan bois would be mumbling about election anomalies and so on

You mean a Kangaroo Show-Trial is nothing but Smoke and Mirrors?!?

The funny thing is that the interest for Jan 6th, among Americans is virtually non-existent.

The Democrats by continuing the Farce are just making it worse for themselves.

At least it looks to have two engines again. The donations must be coming in.

Unfortunately behind a Paywall - but the admission, by a NYT Journalist no less that the Trump-Russia Hoax is and was a Hoax - that's quite a refreshing turn of Honesty.

So Trump claimed at one of his rallies that he built hundreds of miles of wall and that his wall was completed. Other Republicans claim the border is uncontrolled. Not that we should expect any of this idiocy to make sense. Even so this weeks border crossing as depicted by Itchy Boots ddn't go as I expected.

She crossed at Tecate rather than Tijuana. Tecate is a smaller crossing - much smaller. Tecate is also of interest because it's a brand of beer mentioned in country music. I haven't seen it here yet but if I do I'll try some.

Anyhoo her border crossing sequence starts at 15.50. At other border crossings there have been trucks queued for miles. Not at this Mexico/US border crossing.

    https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/...t-trump-bannon

he co-founder of the “We Build The Wall” project aimed at raising money for a border wall pleaded guilty Thursday to charges in a case that once included Donald Trump’s adviser Steve Bannon.
Brian Kolfage admitted to pocketing hundreds of thousands of dollars while promising all donations would pay for the wall. His plea came a month before a trial in a case that began in dramatic fashion in August 2020, when Bannon was pulled from a luxury yacht off the coast of Connecticut and arrested on allegations that he and three others ripped off donors trying to fund a southern border wall.

Bannon was pardoned by Trump just before he left office last year. Bannon had pleaded not guilty to charges he pocketed over $1m, using some of the money to secretly pay Kolfage, a 39-year-old air force veteran who lost both legs in a mortar attack in Iraq.

guilty plea on Thursday by co-defendant financier Andrew Badolato, 57, in the case during the same remotely conducted electronic hearing before US district Judge Analisa Torres in Manhattan meant that only one of the four defendants originally charged might go to trial in mid-May.

Plea agreements between the government and Kolfage and Badolato specified the defendants will not challenge sentences within an agreed-to guidelines range. For Kolfage, that range was four to five years. For Badolato, it was roughly 3.5 years to four years. Sentencing was scheduled for 6 September.
As trump had saids Mexico was going to pay for the wall. We can only assume that all the donors and the tax funders of the 10 billion dollars he funneled into it were "Mexicans"
As of late may 2020 only three miles of new fence had been constructed.
My only guess is it was hard for trump to build the wall as he has such tiny hands.

Build a Wall. Keep those Dutchys out!

Glad to see her still going. Don't bother trying to keep up but good to watch if you have the time.
