Don't you look at my accountant.
He's the only one I've got.
And just to make it more like his normal pattern, it's being reported that most if not all the images used on the NFT cards are copyright and probably used without permission. The sources are pretty varied = from Reuters to a clothing chain.
If as seems possible they sue, the whole enterprise may wind up costing him money.
Is anyone surprised ?
No surprises. He must have enough cease and desist letters from music copyright holders to paper a wall.
This was a licensing deal I believe. Trump gets 10%.
At first I suspected it was a money laundering operation. (Another one?) That was reinforced when it was reported that the maximum buy was $9,900. At $10,000 banks have to report the transaction.
The card I found most amusing was the one of him in evening dress. A slim and trim Trump in the same outfit the bloated tub of lard wore to dinner with the Queen.

Yeah, considering the locations where some of the nft images were "harvested", I would be surprised if Trump gets sued. The thing that strikes me is the sheer laziness of the Trump team that put this thing together. I mean how much does it cost to hire a young and upcoming talented digital artist looking for a big break to produce some really classy original art for said nft. What a bunch of shysters - seriously.
I see the Jan 6th is putting Trumps name forward for criminal charges to the DOJ, though I'm betting they don't really want him to be convicted - considering pretty much their only chance of winning the next general election is if Trump is running. So I would say the DOJ will have been told to take their time.![]()
“Troth sensual....”
He is finally going to get scorched....surely?
Actually scratch that, turns out any crim can run the States

The one show stopper is being found guilty of insurrection, and I do not reckon they would get that charge across the finish line. What a shame the secret service refused to let him march with the idiots.![]()
What a fucking shithole country.

That may well be the case. However proving copyright theft is expensive and difficult especially with such a generically common image like the superman style body.
Also many artists these days foolishly publish their works on fakebook, Instagram etc. If you read the fine print on the terms and services you actually allow them to onsell in certain circumstances...
Not defending him in any way as several times I’ve been a victim of intellectual property theft but it’s one of those things that prob won’t go anywhere.

This won't happen but it's mildly amusing.

So Trump does have a redeeming point…

Apparently Trumps tax records turned up nothing of interest. An interesting precedent is now set that govt can demand tax records and make them public.
With rep control of the house now it could be interesting times as to why people from pelosi to Liz Cheney etc have increased wealth significantly out of proportion to their income while in office.....
While Trump left office poorer than he went in....

(Much of that discussion about whether they should have been made public, but much info regardless.)

So the Jan 6 committee have let Trump go lol.
I didn't think!!! I experimented!!!
realty differs They never had any legal standing to prosecute but they have recommended prosecution.
In the end, the panel came to a unanimous conclusion that Trump coordinated a “conspiracy” on multiple levels, pressuring states, federal officials and lawmakers to try to overturn his defeat, and inspired a violent mob of supporters to attack the Capitol and interrupt the certification of President Joe Biden’s win. The panel recommended that the Justice Department prosecute Trump on four crimes, including aiding an insurrection. While a so-called criminal referral has no real legal standing, it is a forceful statement by the committee and adds to political pressure already on Attorney General Merrick Garland and special counsel Jack Smith, who is conducting an investigation into Jan. 6 and Trump’s actions.
