I think this is a side show to cover up the fall of Ukraine and the ousting of Zelensky. Russia is brokering a peace deal via China and even zelensky aludes to its all about to end. It was Trump who advertised it, not the authorities. He just got the day wrong. Other than that the grand jury voted to indict, the authorities haven't said much at all.
Virtually everything we are reading, hearing, or watching, is speculation.
If Trump does not make himself available, the procedure is for the Governor of New York to formally request the Governor of Florida to hand him over. The Governor of Florida has stated he will refuse. That's interesting, because this situation is covered in the US Constitution which states that on request the person must be handed over.

Watching Trump in Court today was magic. He was a 76 year old 9 year old boy so out of his depth he couldn't actually comprehend the words used and the charges that he faces. Looking at his face was priceless.
