Yeah it is a shame that it has ended up like this. Trump deffo needs to be given the arse, but democratically(sic). Biden apparently rang to pass on his regards, cant imagine the orange buffoon doing the same if the situation had been reversed.
    Fuck Trump, btw.

    Hey mate,

Big respect, you clearly don't like the guy and you don't have to. The main thing here is that one person out of the population of 341,874,164 has decided he doesn't want him as their president and has taken extreme action. I do support Trump... to an extent. However if Biden wins then I'm happy that the American majority have it their way. Democracy is a beautiful thing.

I run a company up in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland)
    Why is this relevant bud?
It's relevant beacause you sprang out of nowhere expressing an opinion which would have to be at odds with most on here - and I'd venture to say in NZ.

But hey, Auckland right ? You can probably be excused some of your attitude by that alone.

The blood on Trump's head appears to be from the top of his ear. The injury was likely caused when the Secret Service flung him to the floor. My initial thought was that the whole thing was performative because Trump was doing arm raised thumbs up immediately after. That is at odds Wirth his lifelong record of devout cowardice.
he did grab the side of his head about the second shot so one would suggest that he was hit.

    Hi bud,

After the event that happened today I thought I would check in on the thread to see the reactions to the news.

For future reference what is the proper kiwi biker way to 'spring in' and make a comment on a thread I haven't commented on before?

We all have the right to our own options. If you don't believe in this you could shoot me in the ear or something I guess.

Yes, I'm from Auckland, yes we have the harbour bridge, yes we have the sky tower, yes we have the best rugby team and yes we love a nice coffee. We also contribute 38% to the New Zealand GDP. You are welcome.

There are two types of New Zealanders. The ones that live in the Auckland region and the ones that wish they did.

Great to see tall poppy syndrome is still strong in the regions champ.

Trump supporter here (Māori) and I am totally sickened with today’s news of this cowardly act.

I find it distasteful that some on this thread are supporting this anti Trump rhetoric around today’s news.

    Get some class.

    Let’s keep things above board.

    Hey mate,

Great to see a bit of common sense on this thread!
If this happened to Biden I would be equally horrified. I pray that these guys get the opportunity to continue to campaign. Make the best man win.

    Hey mate,

The Auckland region is a great place to live. The east and west coast are a stone throw from each other. World class fishing and water sports and great work opportunities. Auckland is built up by a hive of thriving communities.

I do understand people can have bad experiences in any city.

We all like different things and completely respect your opinion.

    Cheers

There is another type of New Zealander. Like me. I used to live in Auckland. 8 years, no problem. Now in the South island. I'm glad to get out of Auckland. Never want to go back thanks.

And, I don't like talking to naive obnoxious idiots who live there either, like you . No Tall Poppy syndrome here mate. It's you that has the problem. Look after your Donald Trump . He needs as many stupid people as he can get.

That’s a classless comment, these kind of generalised statements about us Trump supporters are uncalled for.

You’ve asked someone else on here what they do for a job - so what do you do?

I'd like to apologise on behalf of the Auckland region for whatever happened to make you fall out of love with Auckland.

I hope you are going well in the south Island.

Auckland is a thriving city that supports the regions. There is a few idiots in every city, but at the end of the day the Auckland region is a powerhouse that carries this country.

Donald Trump doesnt need me? Oh this might be a bit awkward but I hope you realise that as I am not an American citizen I am not eligible to vote in the upcoming election. All I can do is pray that he has a speedy recovery.

    Cheers

Lols, you're kidding right? It is an international embarrassment at best.
