Rolling Stone magazine have an important story on Trumps latest grift and he isn't even president yet. He is actively seeking donations to his "Inaugural Fund.' Basically there is no such thing as an inaugural fund but he has corporations queueing to pay the going rate of one million dollars. He has reportedly inquired by name as to whether various corporations have paid. The money just keeps rolling in. About 150 million so far. I can't post a link, it's behind a paywall.

Meanwhile there is grumbling in paradise. The demands of the tech bros who financed Trump's campaign are very different to the expectations of the MAGA types who voted for him. Simply put MAGA want immigrants out, tech bros want immigrants in.

Trump is threatening to take over several countries to a greater or lesser extent: Canada, Greenland, Panama, Mexico, and he is posting angry unhinged "Christmas" messages.

Nick Fuentes is questioning Vice President JD Vance's credentials as a white man, Vance has an Indian wife and his child has an Indian Christian name. Apparently that's not white enough for Fuentes.

Meanwhile Vance himself is doubtless studying the 25th Amendment to the United States Constitution.

Last Time around Trump wanted to send cruise missiles into Mexico to take out the cartel drug facilities. It was pointed out that sending missiles into another country would be an act of war. He replied that the US could just deny it was them. Who the Hell else could it be?

That is instructive though. When he was asked about if his tax details leaked, he just said he'd say they weren't his. It definitely seems he thinks he can say whatever he likes and some idiots will believe it. It seems there's no shortage of idiots.

To me that is quite understandable - school shootings would probably be the domain of MAGA 2A supporters foaming at the mouth and expressing their outrage over the sheer audacity of a democrat, a BLACK democrat, occupying the whitehouse

There have been various studies of mass shootings and the perpetrators. One study some years back determined that the shooter almost always told people what they had in mind prior to the event. One problem with that is that there are also people who say they will but don't. Anyone who says something similar should be taken seriously.

One guy had repeatedly told his workmates that if he was ever fired he would come to work and shoot the place up. He was subsequently fired and the guys on the factory floor were on the lookout with escape routes planned. When he was seen approaching they put their plans into action. Nobody had mentioned any of this to the people in the office upstairs with fatal consequences for the people there.

Another study by a shooting products company found that a high percentage of mass shooters were on prescribed psychotropic drugs. Many were on Prozac. That might be worthy of further study. Of course whatever the outcome of such a study nothing would be done. Trump's latest is to tell people to get over it.

Let us entertain it for a moment:

Firstly - would taking out the Cartels with Cruise Missiles be a net-loss for Humanity? I dont think so.
Secondly - what is Mexico going to do?
Thirdly - It would be hilarious for Trump to do this at the press conference:



My only hesitation here is that the US has a nasty habit of starting Military action, winning the initial war and then having no clue how to rebuild a society.

I would not shed a tear at the US Military going and taking out the Cartels.

I would, however, shed a tear for the inevitable shit-show where the US failed to fill the vacuum of power, failed to deploy sufficient resources to stop insurgency attacks etc.
