But even if you assume the worst intentions of my post (which I am not going to entirely disagree with) - the fact that I am celebrating a ceasefire contradicts the point you are making.
I think I said a wee while ago that I did not think the Day 1 claim was realistic - but if there is a Ceasefire in the Ukraine - will you concede that Trump being in power was a factor?
The whole TikTok thing is curious to me - I am not a user of that platform, I will agree that the ban and releases have the air of political theatre and charade about them.
To what end, I am not sure, my gut tells me that there is more going on here. I suspect one element is simple flexing on China: We can snap our fingers and turn you off and back on at will.
But I feel TikTok is more being used as a pawn in a wider game of chess. Apparently China has been building up a force of Amphibous landing craft in the port closest to Taiwan.

If it’s anything like Fakebook it’s a money printing machine. FB keeps an astonishing 82% of its ad revenue as pure profit. But of course money would never be the motivation for any USA politician.,

Btw China war scheduled for 2027, by then their naval fleet numbers will have amassed a huge superiority over USA. USA has about zero meaningful ship building capacity to even think about catching up.
